1. Basic information
There are 81 members in the department of clinical laboratory, including eight doctorate recipients and one Ph.D. candidate, 29 masters and 39 graduates, and four of them are master supervisors. As of now, 6 seniors, 16 advanced, 26 medium and 16 junior-level title people here, making our team reasonable structure and strength. Furthermore, several professional affiliations increased our academic influence, including one deputy director and three standing committee members of the fifth inspection branch of Guizhou provincial medical association;one deputy director and three standing committee members of the quality control center of clinical inspection in Guizhou province; one deputy director and two standing committee members of the clinical laboratory management committee of Guizhou province; one deputy director and one standing committee members of the professional committee of clinical microbiology inspection and management of Guizhou province, and so on.
In 2015, our department was awarded the key subject of our hospital. Presently there are seven professional groups, including clinical blood laboratory, blood test laboratory, clinical humoral laboratory, and clinical chemistry laboratory, clinical immunology laboratory, clinical microbiology laboratory and clinical molecular biology laboratory; besides, we also have one specimen pretreatment group. The laboratory floor area covers an area of about 3800square meters(2000 square meters under construction). The equipment of our medical clinical laboratory are fairly advanced, such as Beckman Coulter POWER PROCESSOR automatic biochemical immunity analysis lines, Sysmex automatic blood cell analysis lines, rapid identification of microbial bacteria spectrum analyzer MELIA VETEK2 MS, the BD flow cytometry instrument “FacsAriaIII”, Leica GSL-120 automatic karyotype analyzer, BIO-RAD Evolis automatic ELISA analyzer, Qiagene fluorescence quantitative PCR instrument and other large-scale advanced equipment, of which the total assets are more than 65 million yuan.
2. Professional and technical services
The department of clinical laboratory take forward more than 400 testing programmers, including for tumor markers, eugenics, blood system tumor, tumor drug resistance genes, clotting factors, molecular biology, DNA, RNA detection, clinical microbiology mass spectrum identification, infectious disease, autoimmune disease, virus, diabetes, autoantibody test and general test items. And most of these testing programmers are participate in the inter-room quality assessment project of clinical testing center of the Chinese Ministry of Health and the clinical testing center of Guizhou province every year, with the average PT grade more than 95.0%.
Our department authorized the laboratory accreditation of ISO15189: 2007《Special requirements for the medical laboratory-quality and ability of medical laboratories》(registration No. : CNAS mt-0162) on 12 May 2014. At present, we strictly follow the ISO 15189:2012 standard, create some new quality manual, the procedure document and the work instruction book, etc., and run formally.
3. Research and teaching
In the past three years, our department have been responsible for one subproject of the national high-tech research and development plan (863 project) and 5 projects funded by NSFC (Natural Science Foundation of China). We have presided two projects of the social development science and technology project of Guizhou province and over 20 provincial level projects. Our members compiled one national textbook and two academic monographs as editor-in-chief, and participate in writing 3 textbooks of People's Medical Publishing House. And one item of which won second prize of national excellent medical textbooks, one item won higher education teaching achievement prizes at the first prize of Guizhou province, one item won third prize of the province science and technology progress of Guizhou province and 4 items won provincial level progress prize in science and technology, etc. We published more than 10 SCI-covered papers and more than 30 core journal articles. Each year for medical inspection system theory and the experiment teaching tasks (1400 hours), the professional internship teaching clinical inspection every year nearly 70 person-time, cultivating more than 10 postgraduates per one year, standardized trained laboratory technicians nearly 10 people/year, around the education staff of about 20 persons per one year, in which we successfully completed the various types of teaching tasks.
For improving quality and service level, we carry out all work staff on the basis of the quality system as a criterion based on the principle of efficient, accurate, based on ISO15189:2012 "medical laboratory, quality and capacity requirements", continuously improving the quality of inspection work to satisfy our customers.
